Comic Book Stuff

One of the many wonderful calls I received today was from a founding partner of Carmen's medical group and elder at our church.  One of those rare people you love, admire, and respect all at once.  He asked with concern about Josie, glad she was doing so well.  Then came the questions you only get from  docs like how much blood loss (less than two table spoons) and etc.  He was familiar with the old way of doing this procedure and was astonished by how much better this new endoscopic method is.  He summed it up brilliantly: "Man, that's just comic book stuff!"
The pictures do not lie.  Here is Josie eating 3/4 of her normal volume of formula 6 hours after having significant portions of her skull removed through two, 1 1/2 inch incisions in her scalp.  We are assured by the staff that this is completely normal! And you may not notice as much as us, but her head shape is significantly improved.

Here she is after a few more hours of good rest loving on her dolly.

And back asleep for the night in the arms of her mommy.

Comic book stuff indeed!  Only no fiction here, the Author of authors writes the best stories.  He fills them with real heros that he has prepared and shaped.  Thank you, Lord, for providing us with your heroes and fitting us into a truly amazing story that we would never have dared to imagine!
